A little bit about us…
HairChair Great Yarmouth is a hair, beauty, tanning and tattoo salon on Market Row - just a short walk from Yarmouth's famous Market Place. We rent chairs and rooms to self-employed hair & beauty professionals for all-inclusive reasonable rates.
We revamped the salon earlier this year so that the space was fit for current & future stylists, working in an environment that is COVID-19 safety compliant.
Our History
HairChair was originally two shops that belonged to my Great Grandparents and one was run as Henry Pike Tobacconists for many years. My grandfather continued the tobacconists in 15 Market Row, and my Nanny ran a gift shop in 14 Market Row which later became a hairdressers. Through inheritance and purchase my parents took on the properties and the tobacconists became a butchers shop for many years before the move was made to join the two premises in the early 2000’s and make one salon offering a variety of services. Over the years many stylists have joined us and worked very successfully from the salon, often moving on to begin new salons of their own.
